Electrical Estimator & Salesman

TZ Electric Inc. is seeking a seasoned Electrical Estimator & Salesman with 5–8 years of experience in residential electrical systems. This role is designed for someone who brings a strong technical background in electrical installation and the confidence to communicate that knowledge clearly to homeowners. Key Responsibilities:

Installation & Setup:
● Lead the installation of ductless heat pumps, including Mitsubishi Hyper
Heat systems.
● Ensure proper placement of indoor evaporators, outdoor condensing units,
and condensate drainage.
● Install and hide refrigerant lines, power lines, and control wiring according to
project specifications.
● Perform electrical work, including running new circuits, installing surge
protectors, and connecting systems to the main panel.

Maintenance & Repair:
● Diagnose and troubleshoot ductless systems and conventional HVAC
equipment.
● Perform routine maintenance such as refrigerant checks, filter
replacements, and cleaning.
● Handle complex repair tasks, replacing faulty components or wiring, and
ensuring systems run efficiently.

Leadership & Team Management:
● Supervise a team of junior HVAC technicians on installations and service
jobs.
● Provide training, mentorship, and hands-on support to ensure proper
techniques and safety measures are followed.
● Coordinate with project managers to ensure jobs are completed on-time
and in budget.

Customer Service:
● Interface with customers to explain HVAC system operations and
maintenance needs.
● Address client concerns and provide solutions to ensure satisfaction with all
aspects of the installation or service.
● Provide recommendations for upgrades or system improvements when
appropriate.

Safety & Compliance:
● Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national HVAC codes and
regulations.
● Follow all safety protocols for working with electrical systems, refrigerants,
and tools.
● Document all installations and repairs, ensuring proper record-keeping for
future reference.

Qualifications:

● 5+ years of experience in HVAC installation and service, with a focus on
ductless heat pump systems.
● Certification in HVAC (EPA 608 Universal Certification is preferred).
● Strong understanding of electrical wiring and circuits for HVAC systems.
● Ability to read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and manuals.
● Proven leadership experience in a field technician or project management
role.
● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
● Strong communication skills for customer interaction and team
coordination.
● Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Physical Requirements:

● Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
● Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and confined spaces.
● Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and use hand and power tools.

Pay: $28.15 - $50 per hour (based on experience)
