Warehouse Operations Coordinator

Job Overview:

The Warehouse Operations and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for

ensuring the efficient and organized functioning of the warehouse, managing inventory

using the Ply system, and overseeing key logistics functions including vehicle

maintenance and material coordination. This role requires a highly organized individual

capable of performing physical warehouse duties, maintaining accurate records, and

improving operational processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations & Inventory Management:

‍

● Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment, including sweeping,

organizing materials, managing bin placement, and breaking down pallets.

● Manage the PLY inventory management system, including processing incoming

orders, recording product returns, entering all job-related orders (including weekly

HCP jobs), and updating records.

● Perform regular, accurate stock counts, reconcile discrepancies, and troubleshoot

inventory issues.

● Receive, inspect, and log all incoming deliveries and packages.

Adjust warehouse layout, organization of bins, and labeling as needed to improve

storage efficiency.

● Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for future warehouse

personnel and to streamline operations.

Tracking & Logistics:

‍

● Track and record company vehicle mileage.

● Schedule, manage, and coordinate vehicle maintenance appointments,

inspections, and registration renewals.

● Drop off and pick up company vehicles as required.

● Track and manage all tool replacements.

● Oversee management of uniforms (ordering, inventory records, and request

processing), office supplies, and pantry supplies, including restocking and expense

recording.

Coordination, Pick-ups & Deliveries:

‍

● Pull and prepare materials for scheduled jobs.

● Coordinate with technicians to fulfill material requests for both routine and

large-scale jobs, and communicate with them to resolve any job material

discrepancies.

● Coordinate and complete supplier pick-ups and manage local runs of parts and

materials to job sites, prioritizing urgent requests.

● Handle pick-ups of essential supplies (e.g., water).

Oversight & Process Management:

‍

● Continuously evaluate and improve warehouse processes to enhance operational

efficiency and workflow.

● Conduct regular spot checks to ensure material and equipment accuracy.

● Provide on-floor support to technicians with PLY system issues or material location

requests.

● Attend warehouse meetings and communicate updates effectively.

● Create and deliver training sessions on inventory management software (PLY) and

related systems.

● Complete miscellaneous tasks as needed (e.g., assembling furniture, running

errands to the DMV or post office).

● Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements to enhance workflow and

safety.

Qualifications:

● 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations, 5 years preferred.

● Proven experience with inventory management systems, specifically proficiency in

using or rapidly learning a system like Ply for order processing, stock counts, and

record updates.

● Demonstrated experience in a warehouse or logistics environment, including

receiving, inspecting, logging deliveries, and preparing materials for jobs.

● Experience in coordinating material flow, scheduling and managing vehicle

maintenance, and handling local pick-ups and deliveries.

● Ability to evaluate current processes and develop/maintain Standard Operating

Procedures (SOPs) to enhance operational efficiency.

● Strong attention to detail for tracking vehicle mileage, tool replacements, uniform

inventory, and recording supply spending.

● Exceptional ability to maintain a clean, organized, and efficient warehouse

environment and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.

● Excellent verbal communication skills to effectively coordinate with technicians,

resolve material discrepancies, and deliver updates in meetings and training

sessions.

● Aptitude for troubleshooting inventory issues, reconciling stock discrepancies, and

providing on-floor support.

● The ability to perform general warehouse duties, which may include physical tasks

like sweeping, organizing materials, and moving pallets.

● Competence in using inventory management software and other related systems.

● Ability to create and deliver training sessions on inventory and related systems is a

significant asset.

● A valid driver's license is required.

Schedule:

● Full-Time, Monday to Friday

● Weekend and overtime as needed during high peak times.

Highly Competetive Pay: $20 - $26 per hour (based on experience)

Supplemental Pay:
